I am.

Self DefinitionThink of a recent party or networking event you attended. How quickly did you move to the, “So, what do you do?” question? I find people’s occupations and hobbies interesting,  but we tend to box ourselves in to certain definitions. Next time I’m asked that old standby, maybe I’ll throw one of these in the rotation:

I’m a Truth Teller. I’m a Dragon Slayer.

Or perhaps, Wonder Seeker. Teacher. Encourager. Meaning Maker.

Many days I am Laundry Washer. Lion Tamer. Cat Herder.

“Life Liver–Courage Lover–Doubt Killer” has a nice ring to it.

I try to be a Compassion Grower. Seed Planter. Strength Affirmer. What If–er.

(Nine-year old Sellah added this when I read her my list: Oxytocin Lover)

Maybe we could each try to be better Question Askers. Tree Huggers. Soul Searchers. Heart Givers. Context Lookers.

How will you find new ways to define what you do?

  1. magnificent post, very informative. I ponder why the
other experts of this sector don’t realize this. You should continue your writing.

I am confident, you have a huge readers’ base already!
